Roles & Responsibilities
- Onboard and coach project teams, integrating them into the organization while providing a clear vision of the product and delivery goals.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between Scrum teams, stakeholders, and external groups.
- Coach team members and stakeholders on Scrum values, principles, and practices, ensuring consistent and disciplined adoption.
- Act as a change agent to improve team productivity, predictability, and delivery efficiency.
- Lead and guide the organization in successful Scrum adoption by streamlining processes and ensuring adherence to the Scrum framework.
- Promote a Lean-Agile mindset and servant leadership, fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Proactively identify, track, and resolve impediments by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Drive relentless improvement through effective retrospectives and actionable follow-ups.
- Define, capture, and communicate relevant Agile metrics to highlight delivery performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Drive teams effectively using strong understanding of the product or project’s functional aspects and hands-on usage of ALM tools.
Required Skillset
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM / PSM I) mandatory; advanced certification (CSP / PSM II) is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master for software development teams practicing Scrum effectively.
- Strong understanding of iterative and incremental development methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum theory, roles, events, artifacts, and practices.
- Proficiency in backlog refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity tracking, retrospectives, and facilitation techniques.
- Proficiency in ALM tools such as JIRA, VersionOne, or equivalent platforms, including project setup, workflow configuration, and dashboard creation.
- Proficiency in defining, publishing, and analyzing Agile KPIs for a product or project through ALM dashboards (e.g., JIRA, VersionOne, or equivalent tools).
- Working knowledge of other Agile frameworks and scaling approaches (Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
- Awareness of non-Agile methodologies to help contextualize Agile adoption and motivate teams.
- Basic understanding of software development and testing processes to effectively support team needs.
- Familiarity with Agile engineering practices such as CI/CD, TDD, ATDD, continuous testing, automated testing, pairing, and Agile games.
- Experience applying practical patterns and techniques to address Scrum gaps (burndown variations, retrospective formats, defect handling, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior hands-on experience in software development or testing is preferred.
