The Training Function enhances the knowledge and skill bandwidth of professionals by planning training programs in alignment with the organization business direction. Learning mode includes classroom sessions, e-learning in CBT form, tele/video learning, certification etc. All the modes are applicable for offshore and onsite professionals.
Everyone at RS is entitled to enhance their knowledge and skill level. Every individual, after joining the organization, goes through the Induction program as part of the mandatory requirements. Elective training programs are chosen from different categories that include Technology, Business domain, Organizational, Soft skills, Quality etc. There are two levels of training framework for Technology and Business domain – Level 1 for Beginners and Level II for Advanced sessions. All these programs are conducted either in-house or by external providers based on the currency of topic, extent of coverage, urgency & criticality of the session etc.
Technology specific sessions include programs like workshop on Mainframe, Unix, C++, .NET, Java, Oracle, OOAD, XML, Software estimation etc.
Business domain
specific programs include Payment system overview, Merchant
management, Switch & Authorization, Risk & Fraud, Clearing &
settlement, Gift & Loyalty etc.
Management/Organizational development programs include sessions on Leadership skills, Teamwork Empowerment & Accountability, Organizing skills & Time management, Customer orientation, Communication skills, Interviewing skills, E-mail etiquette, Information Security, Fire awareness etc.
RUP, Project Management, SDLC, Coding standards, Quality awareness, Software Testing, Configuration Mgmt, Metric Plan & analysis etc. are some of the programs that fall in Quality/Methodology category.
