As an RS alumni,
you might be wondering if RS has changed since
you left. It indeed has. RS today is a rapidly
changing company. With payment systems as its
business domain, RS is poised for huge growth.
As an early mover,
RS has a clear advantage in the payments space,
and the company sees itself growing by a CAGR
of 63% by March 2011. The expected growth is over
ten times its current revenue size.
This growth will
be achieved through revenue regeneration from
existing sources by repositioning of RS Software
as a vertical specialist, as well as by strategic
acquisitions in the products, services and processing
space. The growth will also be supported with
alliances to become a full service provider.
To achieve this
growth, the company has a new perspective plan
in place. A new goal and vision mean changes.
Take, for instance, the brand-new building. All
of RS has moved into a 9-story building that boasts
a multi-gym and one of the world’s most
advanced air-conditioning systems.
Over the
past one year, RS – led by MD Raj Jain has achieved
remarkable milestones. Late last year, the company
floated a rights issue, which was oversubscribed
by 1.07 times. Last year, again, RS made its first
product sale, a customizable solution, to a US
company. So impressed was the client that it has
since awarded other projects, reiterating strong
trust in RS’ capabilities.
Some of the changes that RS has seen over the
past one year:

New
branding initiatives, including hiring a PR

Thanks to these
new developments, RS is acquiring a new image.
The company’s brand has gained new visibility,
internally and externally. A new Intranet, called
Instanet, has given a whole new dimension to corporate
communications and raised efficiency. Externally,
RS developments have found media coverage in India’s
top newspapers and TV news channels, including
The Economic Times and Zee Business.
As you can see, RS is changing;
and you will continue to hear more about RS. The
RS story is still unfolding.
You have been part of the story
in its early chapters. So, thanks for that, and
please do come back for updates.
